A Lactation Boosting Milkshake That Actually Tastes Good

Lactation boosting Milk Shake That Actuall Taste Good

There are women who say the breastfeeding is natural, easy, and what our bodies were made to do it. It is natural, our bodies were made to do it, but that doesn’t automatically make it easy to do! When you express that you need some help people typically start suggesting lactation cookies (See what I did there? Express? Haha!). I get that friends just want to help, but ain’t nobody got time for that! I spent over 2 hours baking cookies when my baby was just a few days old. It was exhausting!  When the cookies ran out I knew I had to find a different way.

Increase breast milk with a delicious milkshake!

I tried a recipe for a “milkshake” that used ice, banana, and peanut butter as the base. I’m sorry, but that was totally ICK for me! The texture was off, the flavor was funky. I’m not even all that picky! I know you just had a baby and are eager to shed some pounds. Do yourself a favor and cut yourself some slack and enjoy life a little!

Simply mix all the ingredients in your blender! Blend well for 2-3 minutes to make sure all of the supplements are thoroughly incorporated. Top with some whipped cream (optional) and enjoy. Please note that if you put the recommended amount of milk in this milkshake it will be a bit thin. I personally prefer it that way so that the added supplements don’t make it impossible to sip through a straw.  Enjoy, momma!
