The mail person and I are pretty friendly with each other. She’s the sweetest mail person I’ve ever had. When she honked outside our gate my heart jumped! I felt like a kid at christmas. Since she could instantly tell I was excited, I explained that she was delivering a bunch of happy from Awe Süsse! If you cloth diaper you know what I’m talking about. We call it fluff mail. The neighbor asked my son what he got and I just had to laugh. This mail is for me, (well…and the princess too). While sitting on the steps of our porch, we tore right into the package.
This is a sponsored post, but the opinions of these awesome products are 100% my own.
I loved seeing all four of the different prints! It’s hard to pick a favorite! I let Monkey pick out the diaper, and he chose A’s Narwhal Dream. I picked out the wet bag and I chose E’s Dippy Bear Dream. Here is what all four prints look like in diapers. Aren’t they adorable? I’ve always been a huge fan of stars!
My first impression of the Awe Süsse (pronounced Aww Soossa) AIO diapers was, “Wow! They’re so plush, and soft”. I’ve got my hands on some pretty nice diapers in the past, but I could tell right away that these would be my favorite. After I got the princess into the narwhal diaper it was pure love. Because my princess has some thick thighs I’ve had to retire a couple of brands out of our stash.
The Awe Süsse diaper leg elastics are unlike any I’ve ever seen. The design is really quite ingenious. They are wide, and rolled which provides an incredible fit. I don’t have a skinny baby to try it on, but it’s apparent that they would fit just as well on a skinny baby as they do on our little miss thunder thighs. The snake is made of a combination of materials including cotton, bamboo and hemp for absorbency. This combination allows both quick wicking absorbency and holds a lot of volume. The outermost layer of the snake is organic cotton which is perfect for sensitive baby skin.
I’m going to have to take a few minutes to tell you about ALL the different snap features on their cloth diapers. The first of many is the umbilical snap (where were these when she was born!?!). It pulls down just a bit of material to show the belly button. There are twelve snaps across the waist. Yes, twelve! The fit is so good on the Awe Süsse cloth diapers, it honestly blows my mind. Also the snaps are color coded, which is good for two reasons. #1- I love everything rainbow, and #2 It makes it easy for Gramma to figure out how to use it. “OK, Gramma, make sure you’re using the green snaps today!”. See? How cool!
The snaps are opposing across the waist band. The top row are female, and the bottom row are male. That means that the wings can cross over and attach after the diaper is soiled. It also means that the bottom waist row can be used as a fifth rise setting for small babies! I’ve never heard of anything like this. Have you? Let me know in the comments!
The Wet Bag
Now a bit about the wet bags. Awe Süsse offers two different sizes. A quick trip, and full day out. There are two layers of PUL to make them extra sturdy! The snap strips that you can use to hang them up have offset snaps so they will be more sturdy and hold the weight of soiled diapers. The offset also allows for them to be snapped together and hang over stroller handles, towel racks, draped over the diaper bag, or anything really. The sky is the limit! Also they have the right length to snap around the wet bag itself when it’s rolled up, making it convenient to grab and go! Seriously, Awe Süsse has the most innovative ideas! Here’s what they looked like snapped together over the side of my laundry organizer.
One last thing, check out this tag! Haha!
