I was surprised by the many different activities in The Berenstain Bears Bear Country Fun Sticker and Activity Book By Jan and Mike Berenstain. I was expecting a usual mix of word searches, and dot to dots, with mostly coloring pages which seems to be the norm now, but that wasn’t the case at all! Once Monkey Boy started exploring the book I saw how very diverse it is. There is also letter tracing, simple addition, pattern recognition, and more! I am so impressed with how skillfully the learning is disguised as fun. Even though the book states its for ages four through eight, there were a few pages beyond my five year old’s ability, which I see as a good thing so he won’t just burn through it in one night. I also really appreciated the “reusable” stickers. They aren’t reusable in the sense that you can put them multiple places multiple times, but rather you can peel it up and readjust it if need be.
When the book came in the mail I was more excited than a little kid. After all, I grew up with many of the Berenstain Bears books in my collection. I love that I can share the Bear family cubs with my kids now! The Bear cubs show us how to play together, learn together, and honor our parents and creator. I’d absolutely recommend this adorable, and well thought out book to anyone I know with young children
